Fatbergs!
My new pamphlet Fatbergs is out now from Knives Forks and Spoons Press! You can read about it in the Books section of my website and buy it here:
If you are Coventry based, you can also buy it direct from myself. I'm thinking of loitering at an outdoor cafe in Cov City Centre at some point, so people can pop over and get a copy. I'll keep you posted. I am also doing an online launch soon.
The news doesn't stop there. I've been involved in a fantastic commission that has an international launch on the 29th of April that I'm bursting to tell you about but can't, yet.
AND on top of all that I've been chosen as one of the Coventry artists to be featured in the Artspace Shop for May-June. I am so chuffed to bits about it. Painting is a huge part of who I am and it is really lovely to be recognised this way.
I realise that having written this there is one piece of actual news and three pieces of almost news, but I guess what I want to say is - watch this space.
In other news, we moved house in February and last weekend we built a pond. I always said that I wanted a pond as soon as we had a garden and now we have one. Today a load of very poorly looking pond plants arrived in the post and I'm going out to plant them. Providing this space for wildlife is going to give us so much pleasure and feels like a lovely way to thank the universe for all the great things that are happening in my life right now. I hope good things are happening for you right now - whether it's getting your vaccinations, getting out a bit more as lockdown eases or just enjoying the springing of Spring from your window (or if you are further South - the lovely sun, which we aren't seeing much of yet).
I've gone all sentimental haven't I? It's funny, because Fatbergs is so spiky and unflinching. But there you are - it's been a rough last year and I'll be a fluffy bunny rabbit now
if I like!
